Isolation (version 1)
|

by MEL-. For those who feel isolated from this world. I personally like this poem (: Try listening to a sad piano piece while reading this. I listened to The main theme of silent hill by Akira Yamaoka (piano version)That piano piece was really beautiful. Go listen to it! ((:And yeah.. only if you want to *feel* more and get that kinda effect, haha.I will try writing more descriptive poems next time, cuz I somehow find this not enough.

Spirit without soul
Heart without love
Sorrow without tears
Beauty without appreciation
Pride without Willpower
Speed without strength

This moment feels so redundant
This pain cripples and spreads
Like venom-
Weakening, deadening
A virus that changes
Victim to mutant.

No presence of life
Heartbeat slows down
Brain cells deteriorating
What in this life could ever be
worth living for?

No place to go
Nobody to turn to
No one to hold on to
Ostracised from that wretched place
Disasters everywhere
Gunshots ring in the air

Where was the life you thought you knew?
What has your soul evaporated into?
How can you possibly feel alive again
When you're nothing but a form of decaying flesh?
They see you, but you feel so invisible
So rotten and ugly.

Deep-set eyes keep piercing into you
They are tearing you apart
Menacing glares and hateful looks
When they touch, a shudder runs through your spine
And theirs
before even blinking an eye, they're gone

Stare helplessly at the lovers that pass you by
No one stops to see how you're feeling
Lost and desperate
Yet you are still holding on to this life
Maybe you are just too scared to let go
Because you don't know how to.

But living and dying makes no difference
Heart is already slowing down
Dreaded skin shedding
Pupils degenerating
Veins crawling beneath the surface
are now surfacing
Prepare to go to sleep.

Everyday is a drag
Try to go back to sleep, but they are forcing you.
Putting the pressure, expecting so much of you.
Then leave you alone, and you let go of the hurt inside
Release the tension
For a moment, you imagine you are free.

But the happiness is gone
Forever
Everyone is straying away from you
Try to reach out
Everything comes to naught

Everyday, every night
It's the same
Hide in the pathetic dark corner and weep
Pull the covers over and wish everything will get better
As if.

Because nothing will get better
As the sun sets
From dawn to dusk
The wild animals hunt
The humans work
The horizon changes
The sky fades away
The rainbow disappears
The shadows loom above

Loneliness exists
Because no one ever understands you
Heartbreaks occur
Because no one cares enough to compromise
You feel weak
Because everything is draining away
Into nothingness
You crawl and collapse

The cycle repeats.
